Global Scholars Program
The Global Scholars Program is a non-credit, optional intercultural program available to semester and year-long study abroad students.
The program offers pre-, during-, and post-study abroad experience activities and assignments that are designed to assist students in making the most of their study abroad experience. The required activities will help students reflect on their experience; in particular Global Scholars will be able to:
- Demonstrate to future employers the marketable skills gained while studying abroad.
- Reflect critically on the intercultural experience and gain an understanding of their host country culture, as well as their own.
- Engage in the multi-cultural community on the UST campus, as well as in the greater Twin Cities community.
Students interested in participating in the Global Scholars program are invited to attend an informational meeting after their study abroad orientation in either November (for Spring students) or April (for Fall and Academic Year students). Alternatively, students can contact the International Education Center for more information.
