Even if you have some ideas about where, when and what you would like to study abroad, we strongly encourage you to meet with the peer advisors in the Study Abroad Office for an overview of study abroad options and some initial considerations. Peer advisors have all studied abroad for at least one semester and are a great resource for questions about what it’s like to study abroad. Sessions are geared toward undergraduates; graduate students go to Graduate Students page.
During your advising appointment, a Study Abroad Advisor will review any questions you have, talk about program selection, getting courses approved, and the application process. Meeting with an advisor is required in order to apply to a semester, year-long or summer program through one of our program partners. If you are applying for a J-Term program, or a St Thomas semester/summer program, please visit these program pages for application information. An advising appointment is not needed. Schedule a semester, summer, or academic year advising appointment by calling the Office of Study Abroad at 651-962-6450.
