Your actual costs will vary from this estimate prepared by the Office of Study Abroad. Please compare this estimate to the information you obtain from your program and personalize it based on your chosen program options and personal plans. The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use on this off-campus study program.

1. The room fee includes accommodation with 5 light breakfasts (cereal, toast, etc.) per week. Students should be prepared to cover lunches and dinners out of pocket with the $2750 estimate.
2. The $2700 personal expenses are meant to be for living expenses only and do not include weekend travel during the semester.
3. Any optional weekend trips or excursions provided by AIFS will have additional charges which will be billed directly to the student.
4. Program deposit of $450 will be applied to program costs at time of billing by St. Thomas.
5. Program costs are listed and billed in U.S. dollars. For additional spending money estimates visit xe.com for exchange rates between the U.S. dollar and British pound.


Cancellation Fees  

Note: Cancellations must be submitted IN WRITING to the Office of Study Abroad (studyabroad@stthomas.edu) from your St Thomas e-mail account. Under no circumstances are cancellations accepted in person or by phone.
 

Thru October 15 Loss of $450 non-refundable confirming deposit plus any non-recoverable costs.
After October 15 Student is responsible for full program cost; $450 non-refundable confirming deposit applies as credit.

*Deposit refund exception: if the University of St. Thomas cancels your study abroad program at any time due to the risk of COVID-19, your deposit will be refunded to you.
